Our Philosophy

About Us

We find that the three biggest obstacles to learning are a student’s belief that math is boring, math is impossible, or math is irrelevant.

Our teaching philosophy is to make math interesting by engaging the students, make math possible by presenting it in the right way, and make math relevant by emphasizing the practical applications of math.

The other part of the equation is to partner student with tutors who have passion and enthusiasm for the subject and have a desire to share them with others. They are patient and enjoy explaining concepts by taking a multi-sensory approach because they believe all students absorb and apply information in different ways.

Navigating the college application process can be daunting, especially when it comes to the supplemental essays. Unlike the common application essay, which gives you some freedom to explore a broader narrative, supplemental essays require you to tailor your responses to specific prompts from each college.

Course Info

The first half of the class was a group class devoted to inspiring students. The aim was to investigate a few incredible discoveries in physics and tech that draw from algebra and trigonometry.

Class One: The Particle & The Wave
We learned about the strange fact that particles are also waves and why trigonometry is so important in our world.

Class Two: Why a Duck Is Like a NeutronWe learned how ducks and trucks help us prove e = mc2 . We also used them to understand two incredible discoveries in modern physics.

Class Three: The Secrets of the Universe
We investigated the invisible world around us, full of wireless communication, and how trigonometry is so vital in our Information Age. We also learned how hearing aids work using basic trig identities.

We finished with:

Three classes of private tutoring to strengthen students’ math skills. Students chose from:
